A businessman wanted a signature architectural element to highlight the street-facing façade and patio of his medical office complex.
Fortress obtained the dimensional details of the building floorplan and the ornate Exterior Insulation Finishing System façade system. With this information, Fortress was able to design a column-supported shade structure that integrated seamlessly with the Customer’s building, provided a visually interesting and protective shade feature that prevented water from cascading onto the patio but still provide appropriate air movement between the building, the discreet solar panels, and the shade structure.
Unique design elements include:
- Seamless integration with existing medical office building EIFS façade.
- Hilman Rollers (support / translation guidance / uplift resistance)
- Electronically controlled dual Traction Drive system
- Bespoke truss system to meet Customer’s dimensional requirements
- International delivery to / Tech Rep installation support at South American site
