Rail Mounted Mobile

This Oil & Gas Services Customer produces and maintains massive weldments that require a large straddle lift crane to lift and move them to a special transporter.

To accommodate the customer’s space and process constraints we developed a custom-dimensioned self-propelled rail mobile shelter. This shelter features flush mounted S-beam rails over 150 feet in length, which places the base of the shelter at the same level as the concrete pad, making it clear and safe for wheeled and foot traffic. This eliminates the obstruction to workflow and trip-hazards typically seen with rail systems. The shelter’s interface with the rails provides stability and uplift protection that meets building code wind loads.

Completed in December 2024, this is the third shelter for this customer; predecessor shelters have been in service since 2014.
